**Zakaria Bergdich Surprised by Ongoing Morocco Exclusion**
Zakaria Bergdich, the Charlton Athletic left-back, has expressed his confusion over his prolonged absence from the Moroccan national team.
The Atlas Lions defender revealed in an interview with Mountakhab.net that he has not been called up by coach Badou Zaki for several months and has yet to receive any explanation for his exclusion.
“I have no idea why the coach no longer calls me up,” Bergdich said. “I closely follow the national team news and respect the coach’s decisions. I am doing my best at the club level to earn a recall and get back on the pitch with the national team.”
He added, “Mustapha Hadji contacted me after I signed with Charlton to say a few words, but since then, there’s been no further communication. That’s football — you have to accept it.”
Bergdich’s comments highlight the uncertainty faced by some players outside the current national squad as Morocco prepares for upcoming fixtures.
