Morocco youth international Saad Farid joins UAE side Hatta FC
Moroccan youngster Saad Farid has completed a move from Raja Casablanca to UAE club Hatta FC, becoming the latest African talent to continue his career in the Gulf.
Hatta confirmed the signing on Thursday, with the midfielder joining the club on a free transfer as preparations continue for the new season.
First move abroad
The transfer marks the first overseas move of Farid’s career after progressing through the ranks at Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca.
The youngster has also represented Morocco at under-20 level, earning recognition as one of the country’s promising young midfielders before securing his move to the United Arab Emirates.
Hatta continue rebuilding squad
Hatta are strengthening their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign and have identified Farid as part of their recruitment plans for the summer transfer window.
The move offers the Moroccan youth international an opportunity to gain his first experience of professional football outside his home country while continuing his development in the UAE.
