Moroccan youngster Zakaria Ouzane has officially announced his departure from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam.

Ouzane leaves the four-time Champions League holders after eleven year spell. He is expected to find himself a club before the start of the new campaign.

The 19-year-old revealed that his journey with Ajax started when he was just nine years old, marking the beginning of a decade-long adventure filled with valuable lessons, challenges and unforgettable moments.

“Ajax was more than just a club for me,” the Moroccan player said, highlighting the deep emotional bond he developed with the Dutch side throughout his development years.

The decision to leave, according to Ouzane, was not an easy one given the important role Ajax has played in both his football career and personal growth. Having spent a significant part of his life within the club’s system, the departure represents the end of an important chapter for the young attacker.

The Moroccan also took the opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to his progress, including coaches, teammates and members of Ajax’s technical and administrative departments.

He praised their support and guidance, noting that they helped him improve as a footballer while also playing a major role in shaping him as a person away from the pitch.

Ouzane expressed his appreciation for the countless memories created at Ajax, from his early days in the academy to the experiences that helped him mature and prepare for the next stage of his career.

Concluding his farewell message, the young Moroccan insisted that Ajax will always remain close to his heart, while wishing the club, its staff and supporters continued success in the future.

After more than a decade wearing the Ajax colours, Ouzane now looks ahead to a new challenge as he begins the next chapter of his professional career.
