Morocco winger Abde Ezzalzouli to remain at Real Betis

Moroccan international Abde Ezzalzouli is expected to remain at Real Betis during the upcoming summer transfer window despite attracting strong interest from the Premier League.

According to reports, both Newcastle United and Aston Villa are monitoring the Moroccan winger ahead of next season.

Newcastle are said to have already sent a representative to Seville to enquire about the player’s availability, particularly with uncertainty surrounding the future of Anthony Gordon.

The report added that although Ezzalzouli has been linked with a return to FC Barcelona, the Catalan giants currently do not view the Moroccan attacker as a priority signing. Barcelona still retain a 20 percent sell-on stake in the player but are focused on other transfer objectives.

Barcelona would reportedly only consider bringing the winger back if the financial conditions became favourable, making a reunion increasingly unlikely at this stage.

Real Betis are instead hoping the 23-year-old’s participation with the Morocco national football team at the upcoming FIFA World Cup will further increase his market value before any future negotiations.

The Andalusian side are believed to value Ezzalzouli at around €40 million following an outstanding campaign in which he registered 14 goals and 13 assists across all competitions.

In another significant development, the Moroccan forward recently changed representatives and joined the agency of Alejandro Camaño, a move viewed as strategically important because of the agent’s strong relationship with the Betis hierarchy.

The decision is expected to strengthen communication between both parties and could play a major role in determining the winger’s long-term future at the club amid growing European interest.
