Morocco v Libya: Futsal AFCON 2026 kick-off time, venue and how to watch

Morocco face Libya on Friday, 16 October, in the final round of Group A fixtures at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations Futsal, with the hosts already through to the semi-finals and their opponents fighting to keep their tournament alive.

The match will begin at 20:00 Moroccan time (22:00 in France) at the Moulay Abdellah Hall in Rabat.

It will be broadcast on Moroccan channel Arryadia and streamed on CAF TV, the Confederation of African Football’s official YouTube channel.

Morocco have made an emphatic start to the competition and have already secured both top spot in Group A and a place in the last four. The reigning champions opened their campaign with a 4-0 victory over Algeria before defeating Zambia 7-0 on Wednesday.

Hicham Dguig’s side have six points from two matches, scoring 11 goals without conceding. The results have strengthened their bid for a fourth successive continental title, following their triumphs in 2016, 2020 and 2024.

However, Morocco will be without Soufian Charraoui for at least this match. The star player was called up as reinforcements for the tournament but has since suffered an injury.

Libya’s route to the semi-finals is considerably less straightforward. The Mediterranean Knights began with a 3-1 defeat by Zambia, then drew 2-2 with Algeria after surrendering a two-goal lead in the closing minutes.

They have one point and sit third in the group, level with Algeria and two points behind Zambia. Despite that position, Libya remain in contention for qualification.

They must beat Morocco and rely on the outcome of the other Group A match between Zambia and Algeria, which will be played at the same time. A Zambia victory would eliminate Libya, while an Algeria win could leave the qualification picture dependent on goal difference and other calculations.

The task is particularly demanding against a Morocco side that have yet to concede in the tournament. Libya, African champions in 2008, have no alternative but to seek a major upset against the competition favourites if they are to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
