The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the six stadiums that will host the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, with matches set to be played across four cities in the North African nation.
Leading the lineup is Rabat’s Olympic Stadium, which boasts a 21,000-seat capacity and will serve as the competition’s main venue.
The stadium, regularly used by the Moroccan national team, will stage six fixtures, including the tournament’s curtain-raiser featuring hosts Morocco, a selection of group-stage games, one quarter-final, one semi-final, and the final on July 26.
Casablanca’s Larbi Zaouli Stadium, the largest among the selected venues, has also been earmarked for a prominent role.
It will host Group B fixtures, one quarter-final, the second semi-final, and the third-place playoff, bringing its total to six matches throughout the tournament.
Alongside the capital and Casablanca, four additional venues have been selected to ensure broad national participation in the tournament.
These include Stade Municipal de Berkane, the historic Père Jégo Stadium, El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia, and Stade d’Honneur in Oujda.
Each venue is scheduled to host group-stage matches, contributing to a widespread celebration of women’s football across Morocco.
The tournament is set to begin on July 5, with Morocco facing Zambia in the opening match.
Anticipation is already building as the country prepares to welcome top women’s national teams from across the continent for what is expected to be the most competitive edition of the tournament to date.
Morocco’s selection as host nation reflects CAF’s confidence in the country’s sporting infrastructure.
Fresh from hosting high-profile continental and international competitions in recent years, Morocco has continued to invest heavily in football facilities, with particular attention now being given to the women’s game.
With six venues confirmed and preparations underway, the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is poised to be a landmark event in African women’s football, promising world-class facilities, passionate fans, and a showcase of the continent’s top talent.
