The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has unveiled its 2026 FIFA-accredited refereeing roster, featuring 33 of the nation’s leading officials who have met FIFA’s stringent technical and physical standards.
This recognition allows them to officiate at top-tier CAF and FIFA competitions throughout the year.
The annual selection underscores Morocco’s commitment to developing elite officiating across all levels of the game. The men’s senior refereeing team includes Jalal Jayed, Hamza El Fariq, Mostafa Kachaaf, Hicham Temsamani, Mohamed El Baroudi, Achraf Barrada, and Nawfal Nachit.
Women’s football is well-represented with Sabah Sadir, Zakia El Grini, Zolikha Harmas, and Nouhaila Belkhoukh earning top honours.
FIFA also recognized Morocco’s assistant referees: Lahcen Azgaou, Mostafa Akerdad, Zakaria Brinsi, Hamza Nassiri, Abdessamad Abrtoun, Zakaria Bouchtaoui, and Achraf Raihan, alongside female assistants Fatiha Jermoumi, Soukaina Hamdi, Karima Khdiri, and Ihssane El Nawajli.
In line with the growing importance of technology in football, several Moroccan officials secured international accreditation as Video Assistant Referees (VAR), including Jalal Jayed, Hamza El Fariq, Yassine Bouslim, Zakaria Brinsi, Fatiha Jermoumi, Moncef El Zein El Alaoui, and Ayoub Chraahbil.
Morocco’s influence extends beyond traditional football, with FIFA-listed officials in futsal—Khalid Hnaich, Said El Haoud, Mostafa Rekik, and Mohamed Abokal—and beach soccer—Driss Lemghaidar, Youssef Ait Houmad, Azz Eddine Essalihi, and Nabil El Maliki.
By securing a wide array of FIFA badges, Morocco is reinforcing its presence on the global refereeing stage, ensuring its officials are considered for major tournaments.
The FRMF emphasized that building a world-class refereeing infrastructure remains a strategic priority, and the depth of accredited officials reflects that commitment.
