Morocco Under-20 squad arrive in Egypt for North Africa qualifiers

Morocco’s Under-20 squad, made up of players born in 2007, have arrived in Egypt ahead of the North Africa qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations.

The tournament will be held in Ismailia from 21 September to 6 October 2026, with matches taking place at Suez Canal Authority Stadium and Ismailia Stadium.

Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria will compete in the North Africa tournament, which will determine the teams qualifying for the continental finals.

Morocco coach’s squad is:

Chouaib Belaouarouch, Jibril Bayoumi, Saad Antra, Elias Al-Arbaoui, Elias Hamdia, Elias Haddawi, Khalid Qasbi, Abdelrahman Arkid, Taha Magni, Bilal Socrates, Youssef Belhassen, Adam Baalal, Hicham Mellali, Anas Bennamer, Safouane Benzahra, Noufel Bouhamdi, Ouguo Al-Qadmeri, Anas Slimani, Mohamed Moncef, Yahya Ighiz, Elias Belmokhtar, Hamza Raji, Sami Bouhoudane, Ziad Baha and Hamza Bouhdi.

The top two teams in the North Africa competition will qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, which is scheduled to take place in Ghana in February 2027.

Four teams from the Africa Cup of Nations will then qualify for the next FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

The following Under-20 World Cup will be staged in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan during May and June 2027, with 24 teams taking part.
