Morocco is set to face Ecuador in an international friendly during the upcoming FIFA window as part of their build-up to the 2026 World Cup.
Francisco Egas, president of the Ecuadorian Football Federation, confirmed that Ecuador will take on the Atlas Lions on March 27 at Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Following that clash, Ecuador is scheduled to meet the Netherlands on March 31 in Eindhoven.
According to Moroccan media outlet le360, Morocco is also exploring a second friendly, with potential opponents including Uruguay or Paraguay.
The match could take place in France, either at Paris Saint-Germain’s Parc des Princes or Lille’s Pierre-Mauroy Stadium.
However, no official announcement has been made, and the plans remain speculative pending confirmation from the Moroccan Football Federation.
The Atlas Lions, drawn into Group C for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, will face Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti in the tournament.
