The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has unveiled a schedule of friendlies and a multi-nation tournament ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

From March 23 to 31, 2026, Morocco will host the sixth edition of the “Morocco, Capital of African Football” tournament, welcoming eight national teams—including seven from Africa and Palestine from the Asian Football Confederation—for a series of matches in Rabat and Casablanca.

The tournament format ensures that each team plays twice during the week:

March 27 fixtures

  • Libya vs Niger

  • Mauritania vs Liberia

  • Benin vs Palestine

  • Togo vs Guinea

March 31 fixtures

  • Guinea vs Benin

  • Liberia vs Libya

  • Niger vs Togo

  • Palestine vs Mauritania

Alongside hosting these international sides, Morocco’s own national team, the Atlas Lions, will take advantage of the March FIFA window to stage two high-profile friendlies as part of their World Cup preparations.

Morocco will face Ecuador on March 27 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid, Spain, before meeting Paraguay four days later at Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens, France.

These matches are designed to provide Morocco with valuable experience against non-African opposition and allow the coaching staff to fine-tune tactics ahead of the World Cup, where the Atlas Lions have been drawn in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti in the tournament co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
