Morocco star Sofyan Amrabat tips Ajax wonderkid Ouazzane for greatness

Morocco international Sofyan Amrabat has backed Ajax youngster Abdellah Ouazzane to enjoy a successful career at the highest level, praising the teenager’s talent, physical qualities and mentality.

Amrabat spoke highly of Ouazzane, popularly known as “Abi”, during a joint interview with his brother Nordin Amrabat for Voetbal International.

The experienced midfielder believes the young Ajax prospect possesses an exciting combination of technical ability and physical strength that could help him make significant strides in European football.

Amrabat highlighted Ouazzane’s strength, speed and fitness, while also pointing to his technical qualities as key attributes that could set him apart as he continues his development.

But beyond his footballing ability, Amrabat was particularly impressed by the youngster’s mentality and personality.

He believes having the right mindset will be crucial for Ouazzane as he attempts to navigate the pressures that come with being regarded as one of Ajax’s promising young talents.

Amrabat feels the qualities he has seen from Ouazzane give him reason to believe that the midfielder can eventually attract interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

However, he also urged the youngster to remain patient, humble and committed to hard work rather than allowing early praise to create unnecessary pressure.

Ouazzane continues to develop within the Ajax setup as he looks to gain more experience and eventually establish himself at senior level.

With the backing of an established Morocco international, expectations around the youngster are likely to grow, but Amrabat believes continued development and a strong mentality will be key to turning his potential into a successful career.
