Morocco international Achraf Hakimi risk ending up in jail for allegedly raping a young woman.
Hakimi, who is the books of French giants Paris Saint Germain is facing 15-years in jail over the allegation he has consistently denied since 2023.
The Nanterre prosecutor’s office is demanding for formal charges by court against Hakimi, with the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star describing the attempt as extortion and provocation.
Hakimi, who enjoyed an amazing season with PSG last term was accused of rape back in 2023. The alleged victim claimed to have met the Moroccan on social media, claiming the pacey defender had kissed her on the lips and chest over her clothes despite her objection.
The young woman protested to the footballer, but he continued to touch her until he forced her into a sexual act. This account was confirmed by the victim’s friend, who picked her up from the scene.
With the Nanterre prosecutor demanding for the formal charges from court, the talented Moroccan defender now risk ending up in jail. He will be sentence into at least 15-years in prison when found guilty.
Hakimi delivered an outstanding performance last season, helping PSG secure a treble. His is the main contender for this year’s African Footballer of the year.
