The Moroccan women’s national team will continue preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with an international friendly against Cameroon on June 5 in Beauvais, France.

The encounter comes as both nations intensify preparations for the continental showpiece scheduled to take place in Morocco later this year.

Cameroon Prepare for Major Challenge

Reports from Cameroon indicate that the Indomitable Lionesses have included the match as part of a training camp running from June 1 to June 9. The fixture against Morocco is expected to be the standout test of the camp as Cameroon faces one of the strongest women’s teams on the African continent.

The game will provide Cameroon with an opportunity to measure its level ahead of the tournament while also allowing the coaching staff to evaluate the squad against high-level opposition.

Atlas Lionesses Continue Fine-Tuning

For Morocco, the friendly represents another key step in preparations for a tournament they will host from July 25 to August 16. The Atlas Lionesses have established themselves among Africa’s elite women’s sides following their impressive performances in recent years.

Morocco reached the final of the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations and later secured qualification for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, achievements that significantly raised the profile of women’s football in the country.

The clash with Cameroon is expected to help the Moroccan technical team assess tactical plans, improve team chemistry, and monitor player fitness levels before the start of the competition.
