Qatari defender Mehdi Ali expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance in the 0-0 friendly draw against Morocco on Wednesday. His teammate Ahmed Abdelmaqsoud also praised the match, calling it the best test Al Annabi has faced so far in their preparations.
Abdelmaqsoud highlighted the warm reception from the Moroccan fans: “The best thing for me was the welcome we received from the Moroccan public, both during and after the game. It really made me happy.”
He added that playing against a strong team on their home turf and in front of an enthusiastic crowd was a valuable experience. Abdelmaqsoud sees the match as excellent preparation for their upcoming encounter with Saudi Arabia in the Gulf Cup (Khalijy 22), where conditions are expected to be similar.
