Morocco meet Algeria in high‐stakes Women’s AFCON group showdown in Rabat

Morocco and Algeria will face off in Rabat on Thursday night in what is shaping up to be the first major clash of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, with top spot in Group A and an early ticket to the quarter-finals on the line.

The North African rivals meet at 20:00 GMT in the Moroccan capital, where the hosts, known as the Atlas Lionesses, will take on an Algeria side brimming with confidence after both teams made perfect starts to the tournament.
