Morocco line up Burkina Faso and South Africa friendlies ahead of WAFCON 2026
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has secured two crucial friendly matches for the Moroccan women’s national team ahead of the 2026 Women’s African Cup of Nations tournament (WAFCON).
The Atlas Lionesses will face Burkina Faso and South Africa to test the strength of the team ahead of the WAFCON tournament, to be staged in Morocco next year.
Morocco are expected to face Burkina Faso on November 28, 2025 in Marrakech, followed by South African clash on December 2, 2025 in Agadir.
Meanwhile, the North African country, who has seen a massive rise in all football activities are aiming to secure the title on home soil next year.
These friendly matches aim to fine-tune the players’ preparation before the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
This competition, which will be held in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026, will bring together 16 African teams, including Nigeria, Senegal, and Ghana.
