Morocco midfielder Imrân Louza open to Watford exit before transfer deadline

Morocco international Imrân Louza is seeking a move away from Watford before the close of the summer transfer window as the midfielder looks to begin a new chapter in his career.

The 27-year-old is understood to be keen on leaving the Championship club after several seasons at Vicarage Road, although he continues to train with the first team while his future remains unresolved.

Sources indicate that several clubs are monitoring Louza’s situation closely and could soon open discussions with Watford over a potential transfer. However, the English club are reported to value the midfielder at around £15 million.

Despite the speculation surrounding his future, Louza remains fully involved in Watford’s pre-season preparations.

Head coach Alessio Dionisi has confirmed that the Morocco international continues to train alongside the rest of the squad and remains an important member of the team while no agreement has been reached over a possible departure.

Speaking about the midfielder’s situation, Dionisi said:

“Imran trains with us like all the other players. As long as he’s here, he remains an important part of the team. If an opportunity arises and all parties reach an agreement, we’ll consider it. Otherwise, he’ll continue with Watford.”

The Italian coach’s comments suggest that Watford are not ruling out a transfer but will only sanction a move if it satisfies both the club and the player.

Louza joined Watford in 2021 after emerging as one of Ligue 1’s most highly rated midfielders during his time at FC Nantes. Since arriving in England, he has also spent a period on loan at French side Lorient before returning to the Hornets.

The Moroccan international has remained part of Watford’s plans while transfer speculation has continued throughout the summer.

With interest from multiple clubs and the transfer window still open, the coming weeks are expected to be crucial in determining where Louza will play next season.
