Morocco head coach Walid Regragui reveals how his team can win 2025 AFCON

The head coach of the Atlas Lions of Morocco, Walid Regragui has revealed how his team can win the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

As hosts for the upcoming edition of the AFCON, there will be pressure on Morocco to go for a host-and-win.

According to Coach Walid Regragui, this is possible and is what the people of Morocco want.

However, he admits that winning the 2025 AFCON will be difficult unless his team can perfect three key things.

“The entire Moroccan people want the CAN, we appreciate that, but there is an ideal recipe to achieve the cup, which can be summed up in three things: the first is to be cohesive and united like a family, the second is to have strong support from our fans since the first match, and the third is to be focused and humble in our assessment of our competitors, then the dream of winning will be possible,” coach Walid Regragui told Koora at the end of the draw for the 2025 AFCON.

In Group A, Morocco is scheduled to compete with Mali, Zambia, and Comoros.

The first match of the tournament will be played between Morocco and Comoros on December 21.
