Morocco: Hassania Agadir threatens legal action against coach Amir Abdou after accepting Burkina Faso job
Hassania Agadir has confirmed it will escalate the situation with Comorian coach Amir Abdou after he chose to leave the club to take charge of the Burkina Faso national football team.
The Moroccan side stated that it received an email from Abdou indicating that he had terminated his contract.
In response, Hassania Agadir announced it would pursue all necessary procedures to defend its rights and preserve the club’s stability and reputation.
Abdou had managed the team during their 14th-round clash against Raja Casablanca in the Professional League before his departure.
The Burkina Faso Football Federation recently appointed Abdou as the new head coach of the “Stallions,” replacing Brama Traore, who was dismissed following the team’s early exit from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Morocco.
The move is seen as a new phase for Burkina Faso, emphasising discipline and renewed ambition under Abdou’s leadership.
