Morocco complete final training session ahead of Gabon AFCON qualifier

Morocco held their final training session on Thursday ahead of Friday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Gabon.

The Atlas Lions trained at the Mohammed VI Football Complex as coach Mohamed Ouahbi and his technical staff put the final touches to their preparations for the Group A opener.

Morocco prepare for Gabon clash

According to footage captured by Le360 Sport, Ouahbi and his staff focused on the technical and tactical aspects of the game during the final session.

Brahim Diaz, Achraf Hakimi and Abdelhamid Sabiri did not train with the rest of the squad.

The session was opened to accredited media representatives for the first 15 minutes in line with the approved media programme.

Journalists were also given the opportunity to speak to several Morocco players in the mixed zone after the training session.

Morocco face Gabon in Rabat

Morocco will host Gabon on Friday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.

Kick-off is scheduled for 19:00 local time as the Atlas Lions begin their AFCON 2027 qualifying campaign.

Morocco are in Group A alongside Gabon, Niger and Lesotho.
