Central African Republic Announce Squad for Morocco Friendly
The Central African Republic have named a 21-man squad ahead of their upcoming international friendly against Morocco, scheduled for 9 October in Casablanca.
Newly appointed head coach Raoul Savoy has used the opportunity to blend experience with fresh talent as the national team, known as the Fauves, begins a new chapter.
Among the notable call-ups is Quentin Ngakoutou, who recently committed to representing the Central African Republic. The forward, currently with French club Arles-Avignon, is expected to add attacking depth to Savoy’s side.
Joining him are two local league standouts: Levant Gbavito of Olympique and Steve Ngoyos of Sica Sport. Ngoyos, the leading scorer in the Central African domestic championship, is among several home-based players rewarded with a call-up.
The squad features a broad mix of players plying their trade across Europe, Asia, and Africa. France-based goalkeeper Geoffrey Lembet (AJ Auxerre) is included, alongside veteran defender Manassé Enza-Yamissi of Gil Vicente in Portugal and midfielder Amos Youga of GFC Ajaccio.
Other key names include Foxi Kéthévoama (Astana FC, Kazakhstan), Vivien Mabidé (Raja Casablanca, Morocco), and versatile midfielder Praise Enza-Yamissi, who will wear the captain’s armband.
Savoy’s selection also features international experience from players in leagues such as Israel, Algeria, Bulgaria, and China.
