Mehdi Benatia has confirmed he will stay at AS Roma this summer, ending all speculation about a possible transfer. Despite interest from top European clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona, the Moroccan international decided to remain with the Italian club.
Benatia announced his decision during an interview, saying he’s preparing to join Roma’s training camp in the United States. The choice came after a key meeting with club president James Pallotta during their Boston camp.
Since joining Roma in 2013 from Udinese, Benatia has established himself as a key player. Before that, he played for Clermont, Lorient, Tours, and Marseille.
