Morocco’s A national team will play two friendly matches behind closed doors against Egypt and Kuwait as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) confirmed on Sunday that the matches will serve as crucial warm-up fixtures for Tarik Sektioui’s squad ahead of the tournament, which will take place from 1 to 18 December.
The first match will take place on 9 October at the El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia. The second will follow on 14 October in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Both games form part of a scheduled training camp designed to build cohesion, test tactical systems, and fine-tune the squad before the competition begins.
The FRMF stated that the coaching staff view these fixtures as vital opportunities to assess player readiness and experiment with different strategies against strong regional opposition.
The behind-closed-doors format aims to provide a focused environment free from external distractions.
Sektioui named a 27-man squad featuring a mix of domestic league players and experienced professionals.
The selection reflects a balance between continuity and new opportunities, with several players hoping to secure a place in the final Arab Cup roster.

These matches provide Sektioui with a final opportunity to evaluate his options and build a cohesive unit capable of competing strongly in Qatar.
The coaching team will also monitor player fitness and form closely as they refine tactical plans for the group stage of the Arab Cup.
For Morocco, the friendlies represent more than simple preparations. They offer a vital chance to strengthen team chemistry, develop competitive rhythm, and address any weaknesses before the tournament.
With tough opponents expected in Qatar, every session and fixture will shape their readiness for the continental competition.
The Arab Cup serves as an important stage for African and Arab nations to showcase talent and test their squads against quality opposition.
Morocco aim to enter the tournament with strong momentum, and these two friendlies mark the final step in that preparation process.
