Morocco: Yassine Bounou Injured, Rochdi Achenteh Called Up for Friendlies Against Benin and Zimbabwe
The Atlas Lions will be without their young goalkeeper Yassine Bounou for the upcoming friendlies against Benin and Zimbabwe. The 23-year-old Real Zaragoza shot-stopper sustained a muscle injury during a training session with his Spanish club and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
In response, head coach Badou Zaki has added Rochdi Achenteh, a 26-year-old left-back from Vitesse Arnhem in the Netherlands, to the squad. Achenteh, who previously featured for Morocco’s Olympic team in 2007, will bolster the defensive options.
