Africa Top Sports reported last Friday on the harrowing attack endured by WAC Casablanca players during a training session at the club complex.
Armed with bladed weapons, the assailants targeted both staff and players, robbing them of money and cell phones before fleeing the scene.
In a swift response, the authorities have made significant progress. Within less than four days of the incident, the police have apprehended 25 individuals, eight of whom are facing prosecution. Four have been released on bail, while the remaining four have been detained.
These violent acts occurred amid heightened criticism of the club’s performance on the field.
