Moroccan prospect Salim El Jebari has joined La Liga 2 side FC Cartagena on a loan deal from Atlético Madrid, extending until the end of the 2024-2025 season.
This move provides the 20-year-old with an excellent opportunity to continue his development with FC Cartagena, following his official first-team debut for Atlético last season in a match against Cádiz.
Atlético Madrid views this loan as a chance for El Jebari to gain valuable first-team experience in the competitive environment of the Spanish second division.
FC Cartagena has welcomed the Moroccan international, praising his speed and goal-scoring ability. Described as versatile, El Jebari is capable of playing both as a winger and a forward.
Known for his pace and sharp eye for goal, El Jebari offers FC Cartagena’s head coach, Guillermo Fernández Romo, a dynamic new attacking option as the team looks to bolster their offensive strength in the second half of the season.
The club is eager to harness his potential in their push for an improved position in the Liga 2 standings in the coming months.
El Jebari has already made his mark with Atlético Madrid’s B team, scoring four goals in 32 appearances last season. Having been with Atlético Madrid since 2018, he has steadily risen through the ranks.
