Youssef Enríquez Lekhedim, known as “Yusi,” is patiently honing his craft at Real Madrid, where he has caught the attention of head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
The young Moroccan full-back, promoted to the first team by Ancelotti himself, continues to develop alongside the club’s elite players as he waits for his moment to shine.
Yusi’s journey to one of the most iconic football academies in the world began in 2017 when he joined Real Madrid’s youth setup as a free agent.
His early years were spent gaining experience across several clubs, including San Fernando de Henares (2012–2013), Rayo Vallecano (2013–2015), Moratalaz (2015–2016), and Getafe (2016–2017).
These formative stints prepared him for the competitive environment at Real Madrid.
With Real Madrid’s Castilla team, the 20-year-old has made 18 appearances and scored one goal, showcasing his defensive reliability and potential to contribute offensively.
Additionally, during his time with the club’s U-19 side, Yusi played 14 matches, recording one goal and two assists, further solidifying his reputation as a rising talent within the club’s ranks.
Despite not yet making his senior debut, Yusi’s promotion to train with the first team signifies the trust and belief the coaching staff have in his abilities.
His versatility, work ethic, and understanding of the game make him an asset for the future, with many expecting him to transition seamlessly into Real Madrid’s senior squad when the opportunity arises.
As Yusi continues to train under the watchful eye of Ancelotti and alongside seasoned professionals, the Moroccan starlet remains focused on improving his game and biding his time for a breakthrough at the highest level.
