Youssef En-Nesyri’s potential move to Juventus has stalled, raising doubts over the Moroccan striker’s winter transfer.

The deal between Juventus and Fenerbahçe had reportedly reached an agreement in principle over the weekend, with a €4 million loan fee covering salary and a non-binding purchase option of €19 million.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that while both clubs seemed aligned, the player’s approval remained pending.

En-Nesyri, 28, is reportedly reluctant to join on a temporary loan and is seeking a permanent transfer instead.

His agents have yet to give Juventus the green light, with the terms of the deal now casting uncertainty over the move.

Without consensus on a long-term commitment, the transfer could quickly unravel.

Back from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where he served as backup to Ayoub El Kaabi without scoring, En-Nesyri is at a pivotal stage in his career.

After scoring eight goals for Fenerbahçe despite competition from Jhon Duran, the Moroccan forward is evaluating his next step, with a return to a top European league remaining a priority—but only if it offers stability and a clear role in the squad.

Juventus, currently sixth in Serie A, are looking to strengthen their attack alongside Loïs Openda and Jonathan David.

En-Nesyri’s aerial ability, physical presence, and finishing record appeal to Turin’s management, but the club has not yet indicated a willingness to convert the loan into a permanent deal.

Interest from other European clubs adds pressure to the negotiations.

Aston Villa, Napoli, and Sevilla are all reportedly monitoring the situation, meaning Juventus could lose out if they do not adjust their offer.

For En-Nesyri, the winter window represents a critical opportunity to secure a long-term move to a major club, but the outcome remains uncertain.

At present, the transfer remains in limbo, with both player and club needing to resolve their differences quickly.

Without agreement on a permanent deal, the Moroccan striker may explore alternative options, leaving Juventus to decide whether they can meet his demands before the window closes.
