Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri emerges as summer target for Fulham after standout season at Fenerbahçe

Youssef En-Nesyri has caught the attention of Premier League side Fulham following a prolific first season at Turkish giants Fenerbahçe, as the London club explores attacking reinforcements ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Moroccan international has enjoyed a remarkable campaign since his move to Istanbul, scoring 27 goals in 49 appearances across all competitions.

His transition from La Liga to the Turkish Süper Lig has been seamless, earning widespread praise for his consistency, sharp finishing, and impact in the final third.

En-Nesyri’s success in his debut season outside Spain has reignited interest from English clubs, with Fulham reportedly showing renewed intent to bring the forward to Craven Cottage.

The West London club has been monitoring his progress closely and is believed to be exploring the feasibility of a transfer ahead of the 2024–25 campaign.

However, Fulham face several hurdles in their pursuit. Fenerbahçe are reluctant to part ways with one of their most influential players, particularly after his contributions helped fuel a strong season for the club.

The 26-year-old has become a central figure in the squad, and any potential departure would be viewed as a significant loss by the Turkish side.

Moreover, a loan move appears unlikely. Given the scale of En-Nesyri’s influence and his goal tally, Fenerbahçe would likely demand a substantial transfer fee for a permanent deal.

Fulham’s interest, while serious, must contend with the financial and strategic demands of a club unwilling to weaken its attack ahead of a potentially pivotal European campaign.

Another critical factor influencing the striker’s next move is the prospect of European competition. Fenerbahçe, consistently in the mix for continental qualification, can offer En-Nesyri the platform of UEFA tournaments.

Fulham, on the other hand, cannot currently guarantee European football next season — a detail that could weigh heavily in the player’s decision-making process.

While En-Nesyri has not publicly commented on his future, sources close to the situation suggest that he remains focused on finishing the season strongly with Fenerbahçe.

Any transfer talks, they say, would be considered only after the club’s current objectives have been met.

For Fulham, the pursuit of En-Nesyri signals intent to bolster their attacking options and improve squad depth after a challenging season in the Premier League.

His proven ability to deliver goals at both domestic and international levels would bring a new dimension to their forward line.

However, unless the club can overcome both the financial demands and competitive disadvantages of lacking European football, a deal remains far from straightforward.

As the summer window approaches, the future of Youssef En-Nesyri promises to be one of the transfer market’s more intriguing storylines — with Fulham hoping to turn long-standing interest into a high-profile signing.
