Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi commits future to Olympiacos with contract extension
Ayoub El Kaabi has officially committed his future to Olympiacos F.C. after the club confirmed a new contract agreement that will keep the Moroccan striker in Piraeus for the next few years.
The Greek club announced the renewal yesterday, bringing an end to speculation surrounding the forward’s future. El Kaabi had reportedly attracted attention from a number of clubs across Europe and the Middle East following a series of impressive performances.
The new contract will keep the Moroccan international at Olympiacos for two additional seasons, with the agreement including an option for a further year.
Since arriving at the club in 2023, El Kaabi has quickly established himself as one of Olympiacos’ most dependable attacking options. His positioning and sharp instincts in front of goal have consistently set him apart. The striker has developed a reputation for appearing at decisive moments, often delivering when the team faces intense pressure. His ability to finish chances clinically has played a significant role in strengthening the club’s attacking force.
The Moroccan forward has maintained his strong form during the current campaign, recording 18 goals and two assists in 32 appearances across all competitions. His contributions have helped Olympiacos remain competitive on the domestic front while also sustaining their push in European competitions.
El Kaabi’s influence since joining the club has been remarkable. The striker has already scored more than 50 goals in around 80 appearances, a tally that places him among the most prolific forwards the club has relied on in recent seasons.
Olympiacos moved swiftly to secure his services with a new deal, a decision that reflects the importance of the 30-year-old to the club’s long-term ambitions. By extending the stay of their leading scorer, the Greek side preserves a key element of their attacking structure as they continue their pursuit of domestic honours and success on the European stage.
