Morocco players shine in Dutch Eredivisie

Moroccan players once again delivered impressive performances in the Dutch top flight during the 33rd and penultimate round of the Eredivisie season.

From experienced internationals to emerging young talents, several Moroccan footballers played decisive roles for their clubs, underlining the growing influence of the country’s players across European football.

In Amsterdam, rising youngster Rayane Bounida provided the assist for AFC Ajax’s only goal in their 2-1 home defeat to FC Utrecht.

On the opposite side, Moroccan defender Souffian El Karouani emerged as one of the heroes for Utrecht after setting up the dramatic winning goal deep into stoppage time in the 90+6th minute.

Elsewhere, Suhayb Driouech contributed to PSV Eindhoven’s convincing 4-1 triumph over Go Ahead Eagles by delivering the assist for his side’s fourth goal in the 82nd minute.

Another standout Moroccan display came from Younes Taha, who produced two assists to inspire FC Groningen to a 2-1 victory against NEC Nijmegen.

Meanwhile, Yassin Oukili got on the scoresheet for Fortuna Sittard, finding the net in the 50th minute during his team’s entertaining 3-2 win over PEC Zwolle.
