Moroccan internationals Achraf Bencharki and Mohamed Chibi underlined their growing influence in Egyptian football by finishing among the leading assist providers in the Egyptian Premier League during the 2025/26 season.

The duo played pivotal roles for their respective clubs, consistently delivering creative performances and proving instrumental in their teams’ attacking success throughout the campaign.

Bencharki, who featured for Al Ahly, emerged as the league’s top assist provider with seven assists, highlighting his importance to the Red Devils’ attacking setup.

Since arriving at Al Ahly, the Moroccan forward has quickly established himself as one of the most dangerous creative players in the division, combining vision, technique and experience to unlock opposition defences.

His ability to create scoring opportunities for teammates played a major role in Al Ahly’s performances over the course of the season, further enhancing his reputation as one of the league’s standout foreign stars.

Meanwhile, fellow Moroccan international Chibi continued to impress for Pyramids FC, finishing among the competition’s leading creators with six assists.

Despite operating primarily as a defender, Chibi once again showcased his attacking qualities, regularly contributing in the final third and providing a constant outlet down the flank.

His performances have become a key feature of Pyramids’ style of play, with the Moroccan defender consistently demonstrating his ability to combine defensive solidity with attacking productivity.

The assist rankings also featured several notable names who registered six assists, including Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Fakhri Lakay, Juan Bezerra and Mahmoud Saber.

However, it was the Moroccan duo who attracted the most attention, with Bencharki topping the chart and Chibi maintaining his reputation as one of the league’s most effective attacking defenders.

Their achievements further highlight the growing impact of Moroccan players across Arab football, where they continue to excel in some of the region’s most competitive leagues.

Both Bencharki and Chibi have established themselves among the Egyptian Premier League’s elite foreign professionals, earning widespread praise for their consistency, creativity and match-winning contributions.

As the season comes to a close, their performances stand as a testament to the quality and technical ability Moroccan football continues to produce, with both players expected to remain key figures for club and country in the seasons ahead.
