Ismael Saibari set for Bayern Munich medical as transfer nears completion
Moroccan international Ismael Saibari is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga giants and PSV Eindhoven entering the final stages of negotiations over a deal for the midfielder.
The 24-year-old arrives at this point after an exceptional campaign in the Netherlands, where he established himself as one of PSV’s most influential players.
Saibari contributed 18 goals and eight assists in 34 appearances, producing the most prolific season of his career and attracting interest from one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Talks between Bayern Munich and PSV have progressed significantly in recent days, bringing the transfer closer to completion.
While the clubs are still working to reach an agreement on the transfer fee and final contractual details, personal terms with the Moroccan midfielder have reportedly already been settled.
Saibari is currently in the United States for the 2026 World Cup, where preparations for the proposed move are continuing. His medical examination has been scheduled to take place there, a further indication that negotiations are nearing a conclusion.
According to reports cited by H24info, the remaining discussions between Bayern and PSV centre on the financial aspects of the transfer. Once those details are resolved, the move is expected to proceed to its final stages.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has indicated that the deal has entered its closing phase. The same source previously reported that Bayern Munich turned their attention to Saibari after ending their pursuit of Anthony Gordon.
The Moroccan midfielder’s rise has been driven by another outstanding season in Eindhoven. Alongside his impressive goal and assist tally, Saibari also collected the Eredivisie Golden Boot this year, an award presented to the best player in the Dutch top flight.
Having continued his development with PSV and enhanced his reputation in European football, Saibari now appears set for a new challenge in Germany.
With his medical examination arranged and personal terms already agreed, only the final details between Bayern Munich and PSV Eindhoven remain before the transfer can be completed.
