Belmaqadem, an influential figure in Moroccan sports commentary, addressed the issue in a recent television statement, emphasizing that the reported remarks attributed to Onahy regarding the Egyptian national team are inaccurate and have not been uttered by the player in recent times.
“Claims made on behalf of Onahy about the Egyptian national team are unfounded and have not been communicated by the player in the recent period,” stated Belmaqadem during the televised interview.

In his commentary, Belmaqadem stressed the importance of fact-checking and responsible reporting in maintaining a positive atmosphere between the two teams.
As both nations gear up for continental football competitions, fostering mutual respect and understanding among players and fans remains crucial.
