Haitham Bahja joins Moghreb Tetouan

Moghreb Tetouan have strengthened their squad ahead of the new season with the signing of experienced midfielder and winger Haitham Bahja.

The 32-year-old has joined the Moroccan club as part of the board’s efforts to add experience and quality to the team, particularly in the attacking areas of the pitch.

The deal was formally completed after Moghreb Tetouan president Mohamed Jaddouni signed the transfer agreement in the presence of Bahja’s agent and members of the club’s board.

Bahja arrives with considerable experience in Moroccan football, having previously represented some of the country’s biggest clubs, including Raja AC, Wydad AC and Fath Union Sport.

His most recent spell was with Ittihad Tanger, where he established himself as an important attacking player and was among the club’s top scorers before departing at the end of the 2025/26 season.

His ability to operate both in midfield and on the wings is expected to give Moghreb Tetouan greater flexibility and additional options going forward.

The club’s management will be hoping Bahja’s experience at the highest level of Moroccan football can prove valuable as the team prepares for the challenges of the upcoming campaign.

His arrival is part of a broader squad-building exercise by Moghreb Tetouan, with the board continuing to work on strengthening the team and ensuring the squad is well equipped for the new season.

Bahja will now look to settle quickly into his new surroundings and bring his experience, versatility and goalscoring ability to the Tetouan-based side.
