MAS Fes part ways Benjamin Tanimu

Moroccan outfit MAS Fes have mutually parted ways with Nigerian defender Benjamin Tanimu, bringing an end to his spell at the club.

The decision brings an early end to Tanimu’s spell with the “Yellow Team,” despite initially signing a long-term deal that was set to keep him at the club until the summer of 2028. The centre-back had only joined last July from Crawley Town, making his departure a surprising but calculated move.

According to sources, the separation followed a comprehensive meeting involving MAS Fes officials, sporting management, and the technical staff. The outcome reflected a unified technical and administrative vision aimed at reshaping the squad in preparation for the upcoming season.

The decision forms part of a broader early restructuring strategy, as MAS Fes look to strengthen key areas and build a more competitive team for future campaigns. Tanimu’s exit appears to be one of the first major steps in that process.

Despite the premature end to the partnership, the club maintained a respectful tone in its farewell. MAS Fes issued an official message thanking Tanimu for his professionalism and contributions during his time with the team, while also extending best wishes for the next chapter of his career.

For Tanimu, the focus now shifts to securing a new opportunity, while MAS Fes continue their rebuild with clear intent and direction ahead of the new season.
