In preparation for the upcoming clash against South Africa in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations, the Moroccan national football team conducted its first training session on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
The session took place at the Auguste Denise Stadium in San Pedro, a city hosting the continental tournament’s matches in Ivory Coast, running until February 11, 2023.
The training, lasting approximately one hour and thirty minutes, included players who did not feature in the official match against Zambia, where the Atlas Lions secured a 1-0 victory.
Meanwhile, the players who participated in the match engaged in recovery and regeneration sessions to maintain physical freshness.
Walid El-Karti, the national team coach, emphasized both technical and physical aspects during the training session.
The focus was on refining skills and ensuring optimal physical condition for the upcoming encounter against South Africa.
It’s worth noting that the pivotal match between the national team and South Africa is scheduled to take place at the Logoum Boko Stadium in San Pedro, kicking off at 8:00 PM local time (9:00 PM Moroccan time) next Tuesday.
