Moroccan midfielder Brahim Diaz determined to win Real Madrid starting spot
Brahim Diaz is fiercely motivated and believes he’s earned a place in Real Madrid’s starting eleven this season.
Despite spending much of the campaign on the bench while youngsters Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler were preferred at right wing, Diaz remains upbeat and focused on proving his worth to manager Xabi Alonso.
Alonso has not yet named a permanent starter for the right flank, with most attackers favoring the left, leaving competition open. Diaz’s confidence is palpable, embracing the challenge and backing his ability to make an impact.
So far in the 2025/26 La Liga season, Brahim Diaz has featured in eight matches, accumulating 221 minutes of play. He has started in two games and come on as a substitute in six.
Statistically, Diaz has provided two assists, taken four shots (with one on target), and boasts a pass completion rate of 92.7%. He’s yet to score a goal but continues to work hard for his spot in the starting lineup.
