Moroccan fans in the city of San Pedro are gearing up for a distinctive show of support for their national team in the upcoming match against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
This encounter marks the second round of the group stage in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The “Rouge Verdi” fan association, dedicated to supporting the Moroccan national team, held a meeting to address the missteps that occurred in the stands during the previous match.
A series of decisions were made to enhance the cheering atmosphere in the upcoming game.
The association decided to prominently display the official “Bach” symbol alongside the flags of the Moroccan Empire throughout time, signifying pride in the kingdom’s history.
Additionally, there will be a concerted effort to unify attire among members and all Moroccan fans, with the designated choice being the red national team jersey, complemented by the group’s new scarf for participants.
The association also announced the creation of new chants to be introduced, subject to the approval of the Moroccan audience.
It was further revealed that a fan gathering is planned, with a festive march to the stadium through “Cortège” if conditions permit.
The association promises that the match against the Democratic Republic of Congo will be organized more efficiently than before, employing new and innovative cheering methods.
