Moroccan internationals Abdellah Ouazzane and Ryan Bonida delivered impressive performances as Ajax Amsterdam cruised to a convincing 6-1 victory over Danish outfit Midtjylland in the third round of the Europa League group stage on Thursday.

The two youngsters played important roles in the Dutch side’s emphatic win, each registering an assist to underline their growing influence within the Ajax setup.

Ouazzane was handed a starting role and made his presence felt after the break, setting up Nigerian forward Tolu Arokodare for Ajax’s second goal in the 52nd minute.

The Moroccan midfielder showed good awareness and composure to create the opportunity for his teammate, helping Ajax strengthen their advantage as they took control of the encounter.

His involvement ended in the 68th minute when he was replaced by fellow Moroccan international Bonida, who wasted little time making his contribution to the team’s attacking display.

Just six minutes after coming on, Bonida provided an assist for Israeli midfielder Oscar Gloukh to score Ajax’s fifth goal of the evening, further extending the home side’s commanding lead.

The quick impact from the substitute highlighted the attacking quality available to Ajax, with both Moroccan players making valuable contributions despite featuring for different periods of the match.

Ajax eventually completed a 6-1 victory, with their dominant performance providing a significant boost to their Europa League campaign.

For Ouazzane and Bonida, the match offered another opportunity to demonstrate their abilities on the European stage while strengthening their claims for more involvement in Ajax’s first team.

Their respective assists also represent an encouraging development for Moroccan football, as the two internationals continue to gain experience and exposure in European competition.
