Moroccan defender, Yahya Attiyat Allah, has disclosed that he wants to extend his contract with Egyptian giants Al-Ahly.
The defender has been unlucky with injuries this season but has recovered ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA.
Speaking to the Al Ahly media team, Yahya Attiyat Allah opened up about his injury and the fact that his current deal expires on July 12.
He noted that he wants to continue playing for Al-Ahly and is open to extending his deal with the Egyptian giants.
“I am mentally and physically ready to play with Al Ahly, and I hope to participate with the team and perform well, to reach the farthest point during the Club World Cup competitions.
“The current season with Al Ahly has been positive, and my start was good. Some stumbles are normal in football, but injuries have had a major impact. This is the first time in my football career that I have been absent for these periods, which was difficult, but I thank God for everything,” the Moroccan said.
Attiyat Allah continued: “Injuries are God’s will. My contract with Al Ahly runs until July 15th, and I still have the Club World Cup to play for. I hope to continue my career with the club, which is an honour for me, of course.”
Al Ahly will face off with Inter Miami on Sunday, June 15, in the opening match of this year’s FIFA Club World Cup.
Yahya Attiyat Allah and his teammates will be hoping for a win against the MLS side, being inspired by football icon Lionel Messi.
