Moroccan defender Bouchaib Arrassi has joined Armenian side Ararat Armenia on a loan deal that will run until the end of the current season.
The move was confirmed after Arrassi turned down an official offer from Hassania Agadir during the winter transfer window, opting instead for a new professional challenge in the Armenian league.
The decision was motivated by the opportunity to gain more regular playing time and further develop his technical abilities in a different football environment.
Arrassi becomes the second player to depart Raja during the window, following the agreement reached between the Green team and Egypt’s Al Ahly for the transfer of Youssef Belamri. His temporary exit marks another notable change within the Raja squad as the club reshapes its roster.
Widely regarded as one of the most promising emerging talents in Moroccan football, Arrassi caught the eye through his performances with the local national team at the African Nations Championship.
His displays at the tournament attracted interest from both domestic and international clubs, underlining his growing reputation.
The loan move to Armenia is viewed as a significant step in Arrassi’s career, offering him the chance to test himself against new challenges and gain valuable international experience.
Such exposure could prove crucial in strengthening his prospects of returning to Raja and establishing himself as a regular starter in the future.
