Monza explore move for Wolfsburg defender Moritz Jenz
German-Nigerian centre-back Moritz Jenz is being linked with a move from Wolfsburg to Monza, with the Serie A club reportedly considering a deal for the 27-year-old.
Jenz has yet to make an appearance for Wolfsburg this season, with the defender unused in three league matches and one DFB-Pokal fixture. His current market value is listed at €5m, while the proposed transfer is assessed at a 30% probability.
The centre-back joined Wolfsburg permanently from Lorient in July 2023 for a reported €8m. He spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Mainz before returning to the German club at the end of the season.
Jenz’s contract with Wolfsburg runs until 30 June 2027, meaning the club are not under immediate pressure to sell. A move to Monza would take him to Italy and represent another change of league for a player whose career has included spells in Germany, France, Scotland and Switzerland.
He won the Scottish league title with Celtic during the 2022-23 season, when he also helped the club secure the Scottish League Cup.
For now, the rumour remains at an early stage, with Jenz still under contract at Wolfsburg and yet to feature for the club in the current campaign.
