Jamel Saihi, who underwent surgery on his right knee in March, is yet to make a return for MHSC (Montpellier Hérault Sport Club). The Tunisian midfielder has been sidelined since November, and there is currently no set date for his comeback, causing frustration for Montpellier’s president, Louis Nicollin.
Expressing his discontent, Nicollin mentioned, “If our dear medical staff informs us before September 2 that he will be out for a while, we will see. But he will come back one day, I hope… I am willing to admit that medical advice is not always simple,” and he seemed to regret selling Marco Estrada to Qatari club Al-Wahda, saying, “If I had known, I would not have transferred Estrada.”
Montpellier, the 2012 French champions, faced a heavy defeat against AS Monaco (4-1) and currently sit at the bottom of the Ligue 1 table after two matchdays. They will face Sochaux in their upcoming match this Saturday.
