The departure of coach René Girard at the end of the season has deeply affected the Montpellier players, and they are determined to pay tribute to him by achieving a commendable position in the French championship.
“A lot of players were affected. We can’t remain indifferent to that; the coach has helped a lot of us progress. He brought me to Montpellier and trusted me straight away. It would be nice to finish at least in fourth place to pay tribute to his work. He had an exceptional journey in Montpellier,” shared Cameroonian Henri Bedimo.
Currently positioned in 7th place, Montpellier is just 5 points away from the coveted 4th place.
