Montpellier sign Nordan Mukiele on loan from Rennes
Montpellier have signed Nordan Mukiele on a season-long loan from Rennes, giving the 20-year-old a fresh opportunity in Ligue 2.
The forward, who is the younger brother of former Paris Saint-Germain and Montpellier defender Nordi Mukiele, will wear the No. 19 shirt this season.
Mukiele arrives after a modest but encouraging spell with Rennes, where he made 15 appearances across the first team and reserve side last season. He scored three goals and added one assist, while also featuring eight times in Ligue 1 and netting once.
Montpellier will hope the move helps them add energy and directness in attack as they prepare for the new campaign. For Mukiele, the loan offers a clearer path to regular minutes and a chance to build on the progress he has made in recent months.
The club made the signing official with a welcome message that highlighted his family link and his arrival from Rennes. With the season approaching quickly, Montpellier will be looking for Mukiele to settle in fast and make an immediate impact.
