Montpellier HSC find themselves in a perilous position at the bottom of Ligue 1, desperately needing to strengthen their squad if they are to avoid the drop to Ligue 2.
Despite their severe financial constraints, the club is considering a move for Senegalese winger Keita Baldé, according to Mohamed Toubache-Ter.
Baldé, who rose through Barcelona’s ranks, has built an extensive career across Europe, playing for Lazio, AS Monaco, Inter Milan, Sampdoria, Cagliari, Spartak Moscow, Espanyol, and Sivasspor. The 29-year-old joined the Turkish club on a free transfer this past summer, where he has made 11 appearances, scoring once.
With Montpellier’s financial struggles, a deal for Baldé could prove complicated, but the club is hopeful that the versatile winger could be the spark they need to turn their season around. The upcoming transfer window could be pivotal for La Paillade’s survival hopes, and Baldé could play a crucial role in their fight to stay in France’s top flight.
