Garry Bocaly, the former right-back for Montpellier HSC, reminisces about facing Lisandro Lopez during his time at Olympique Lyonnais from 2009 to 2013. According to Bocaly, Lopez was a formidable opponent on the pitch, often catching defenders off guard with his skill and unpredictability.
“Lisandro Lopez was annoying in the sense that he was poison on the pitch. You thought you had it in your pocket, and lo and behold, at one point, it came out of nowhere and planted one on you,” Bocaly recounted to Maxifoot.
Lisandro Lopez currently plays for Al-Gharafa Doha in Qatar after his stint in French football.
