Siaka Rolland Courbis failed to produce the desired impact on the Montpellier bench this Friday. In his much-anticipated return to lead MHSC, the team suffered a defeat at La Mosson, losing 0-1 to ASSE in the opening match of the 18th day of Ligue 1.
The loss has further pushed Siaka Tiéné’s team down in the rankings. Despite the setback, the Ivorian international remains optimistic about a potential turnaround for the group.
“I didn’t come here to compete at the bottom of the table or face relegation. In football, results matter, and when they are lacking, questions arise. Personally, I wasn’t traumatized or surprised,” stated the former Parisian, who joined Louis Nicollin’s club last summer.
He expresses hope that Roland Courbis’ contribution will ultimately have a positive impact on the team.
