Montakhab El Suez Petrojet set for talks over Mohamed Ali Okasha contract extension

Montakhab El Suez Petrojet are expected to hold talks in the coming days over a contract extension for midfielder Mohamed Ali Okasha.

The club was formed after the football teams of Petrojet and Suez were merged under the name Montakhab El Suez Petrojet, as part of a plan to combine traditional popular clubs with corporate-owned sides.

Okasha’s current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2027. He received an offer from National Bank of Egypt at the start of the season, but Montakhab El Suez Petrojet are now preparing to discuss extending his stay.

The midfielder played a decisive role in his side’s latest league victory, scoring the second goal in their 2-1 win over El Gouna in the fifth round of the competition.

Okasha found the net in the 33rd minute before being named player of the match.

The result moved Montakhab El Suez Petrojet up to eighth in the table on seven points. They have the same number of points as Al Mokawloon Al Arab and Tala’ea El Gaish.

Montakhab El Suez Petrojet have won two of their five league matches, drawn one and lost two.

El Gouna remain 18th with two points from two draws and three defeats.
